Meeting The Needs of a Diverse Marketplace

A True Community Spirit

The San Gabriel Valley is a diverse group of cities filled with safe, stable neighborhoods, family-friendly parks and community spirit. The Valley is a place that has truly come into its own. What began as a suburban residential area for downtown Los Angeles commuters has become the home of many service and retail trade companies and manufacturers – and most of their employees!

Fascinating Facts

·    In the San Gabriel Valley, 890,000 people live in 21 zip codes.

·    The Valley is bounded by the San Gabriel mountains on the north, hills on the south, Kellogg Hill on the east side and the 605 freeway on the west side.

·    The cities of West Covina, El Monte, La Puente and Industry are referred to as the “central core” of the San Gabriel Valley.

·    The population of this area is primarily Hispanic (52%), white non-Hispanic (27%) and Asian/Pacific Islander (17%).

·    One-third of the residents in this area were born outside of the United States. Although a large portion of them (43%) have become United States citizens, many retain the beliefs and practices of their homelands.

·    Because much of the community is composed of families with young children, there is a substantial demand for pediatric care.

Rising to the Challenge

With its focus on patient-centered care, Citrus Valley Physicians Group is ideally positioned to meet the needs of the diverse San Gabriel Valley population.

Our Strengths

·    The majority of CVPG physicians are conveniently located in the central core of the San Gabriel Valley.

·    CVPG physicians provide culturally sensitive care.

·    Many physicians began their practice in the San Gabriel Valley in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
